Project One: Video Podcast
|
I chose to present the work of Jenny Saville. A contemporary artist who's pieces are both beautiful and disturbing at the same time, and I wanted to get the details of that duality within her work.
At first, I felt the project was a bit intimidating, but after the demonstrations and directions it was very exciting. I think this would be a great group project. If the work is divided up between students, and tackled together, I think this would be a great assignment for the classroom. |

Teacher Sample Fill in the Blank
I really like our focus in this assignment. Once the project was decided and the roles were disbursed, everything ran pretty smoothly. We used google docs and had moments were a few of us were on editing, and creating online together. Our samples came out great as well, i liked that we have a few different options to present. I think we all had a fair amount of speaking time too during the presentation. Overall it was a great experience.
3D Modeling

This was the first time I ever done 3D printing.
Animation
I thought a rotoscoop would be easy because of the tracing that was involved. I definitely didn't think it was going to take as long as it did. After some trial and error and a few more demos and google searches I'm very happy with what I was able to create.

How to make a Seven Layer Dip: Video Demo
|
I waited till the house was empty to do it, which probably wasn't a good idea, because I wasn't able to ask for help. It was a pretty fun experience. I thought it would be easier because no one was present and I wasn't talking, but I still found myself nervous well cutting things up and thinking about placement of ideas on the counter.
